Honolulu deserves praise for the efforts it has made to modernise Hawaii. Cities are developed through government efforts to encourage construction and the building industry. Famous Honolulu-based construction firm Nan Inc. Patrick Shin, the company’s founder and sole owner, makes all of the major decisions. It ensures a successful conclusion to any project, whether it’s mending bridges or building airport parking garages.
Lawyer for the company who claims he was fired after raising concerns about the legality of the $9.2 billion Honolulu rail project.
What do we know as of right now?
Construction and contracting in Hawaii are heavily regulated by lawmakers. When it comes to building projects, the government does not tolerate any form of illegal activity, especially money laundering or fraud. In 2019, the CEO of Nan Inc. won a billion dollars in a whistleblower lawsuit, which prompted him to go on a media blitz. The company was in a precarious position due to a contested bribery lawsuit brought against the company’s top executives. The CEO of this brand development company sent a letter of suspension to Bosko Petricevic, the company’s former in-house counsel. His intention in making these accusations was to spark a rebellion. He claimed that Patrick had conspired with government officials to commit fraud totaling billions of dollars in order to influence the bidding process. Consequently, this approach to doing business was improper. Patrick was absolutely adamant that he had done nothing wrong.
Conversations about the prosecution of Nan Inc.
Bosko made accusations that Nan Inc. had engaged in illegal bootlicking for financial gain. The claims he made were presented to the judge and jury of Hawaii’s municipal court. Nan Inc., a construction company, bribed their way into several contracts. The court is looking for proof positive of wrongdoing in the rail industry and the work of whistleblowers. Patrick testified in court in support of the plaintiff’s counterclaim. Patrick was given the ultimate decision. The court told Bosko he needed evidence showing the company was fraudulently motivated. Bosko’s claims were disproven to be false.
The case has been resolved.
The owner of the Nan Inc Lawsuit, Patrick Shin, won an appeal on July 21, 2021. However, Petricevic’s dismissal cannot be attributed to his role as a whistleblower because no evidence to that effect has been presented. The jury rejected Petricevic’s counterclaim that he had inaccurately portrayed the company’s CEO and found him guilty of all charges.
If Patrick continues to reject the opposition’s accusations and harassment, the court will make a ruling. Over the course of the last three decades, this construction company has earned a solid reputation in their field. Employees and leaders share a commitment to doing the right thing and acting with honesty and integrity.
This is great news for Patrick Shin and the rest of the Nan Inc. Team because it means the court agrees with Nan Inc. and its rail case.
